First Game of the Season – Texas Scramble
Ten players took to the field for our first game of the season, a Texas Scramble, and it proved to be a closely fought competition.
With rain falling throughout the week and storms forecast from Friday through the weekend, we were fortunate to find a weather window to get the game played.
Congratulations to our winners, Dave A, Terry and Ronnie, who returned an excellent gross score of 54. After deducting their team handicap of 7.6, they finished with a net score of 46.4.
Hot on their heels were Janette, Wave and Joe, with a gross score of 56 and a handicap of 9.2, giving them a net score of 46.8.
In third place were Mark, Dave N and Ian, who carded a gross 58. With a handicap of 11, their net score was 47.
Well done to all three teams for a great start to the season, and thanks to everyone who took part. It looks like we’re in for a competitive season ahead!
