On Monday 14th September, we travelled away to face a tough Kirkcudbright EGGS side, fielding six strong two-man teams for the encounter.
Our lineup for the day featured:

- Rab & Ashley (our excellent import for the day!)
- Tony & Iain McQueen
Playing away from home is always a challenge, but the team did remarkably well on a tricky course. We put up a fantastic fight, ultimately narrowing the deficit to a very respectable 2 to 4 games.
Following the competitive action on the course, we were treated to a fantastic two-course meal. Players had their choice of a hearty curry or classic fish and chips, followed by a unique and delicious traditional sweet called Halwa.
Aside from the golf, the talking point of the day was Kirkcudbright’s futuristic grounds crew: three robotic grass cutters that were meticulously maintaining the fairways, tees, and semi-rough. It was a fascinating sight and a great talking point over dinner!
